Welcome to Olivia. By downloading or using our app, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use Olivia.

1. Who We Are

Olivia is a family faith app designed to help parents and guardians build daily spiritual habits with their children. The app is operated by the Olivia team ("we", "our", or "us"). You can reach us at admin@oliviateam.online.

2. Eligibility

Olivia is intended for use by adults — parents and guardians aged 18 and over. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. Children must not create their own accounts or use the app independently. All family profiles for children are managed by the parent or guardian who registered the account.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Do not share your login details with anyone. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at admin@oliviateam.online.

We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Free to Use

Olivia is free to download and use. We offer an optional donation via "Give to Olivia" to help sustain the project — this is entirely voluntary and does not unlock additional features. All content is available to all users equally.

5. Content and Tracks

All tracks and content available in Olivia are provided for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not copy, distribute, sell, or modify any content from the app without our express written permission.

Some content is contributed by third-party contributors. Contributors are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of the content they submit. We review contributions before they are published but do not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of any individual track.

6. Acceptable Use

When using Olivia, you agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access parts of the system you are not authorised to use
• Upload offensive, harmful, or misleading content
• Impersonate another person or organisation
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the app or its services

7. Children's Privacy

We take the privacy of children seriously. Olivia is operated by parents on behalf of their children — children do not interact with the app directly. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without verified parental consent. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

8. Push Notifications

With your permission, Olivia sends push notifications to remind you of scheduled track sessions. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings or within the app under Profile → Notifications. We will not send marketing or promotional notifications.

9. Intellectual Property

All branding, design, and content produced by the Olivia team — including the Olivia name, logo, app interface, and original track content — is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the app as intended.

10. Third-Party Services

Olivia uses third-party services to operate, including Supabase (database and authentication), Sentry (error monitoring), and Expo (push notifications). Your use of the app is also subject to the terms of these services. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party providers beyond our reasonable control.

11. Disclaimers

Olivia is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. The content in Olivia is for informational and devotional purposes only and does not constitute professional religious, psychological, or counselling advice.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the app shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which, for free users, is zero).

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Olivia after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes arising from the use of Olivia will be resolved in good faith between you and us before any formal proceedings are initiated.
